Felix Baur
Felix Baur (*1990 in Heilbronn) received his first horn lessons by Jaleh Behforouzi at the age of seven. In 2006 Felix changed to Prof. Carlos Crespo at the University of Music in Mannheim and in 2007 to Prof. Christian Lampert at the Univeristy of Music in Stuttgart. Among other prizes he won the first prize at the national competition “Jugend Musiziert” in the category “Horn solo” as well as the first prize and a special award at the music competition of the “Tonkünstlerverband” Baden-Württemberg. In 2008 another first prize followed at the national competition “Jugend Musiziert” with the Brass Quintet “Salaputia Brass” and a second with the Hornquartet of the first-year students of the University of Music Stuttgart. Besides the National Youth Orchestra of Germany he plays in other orchestras like the “Bläserphilharmonie Heilbronn” or the Southern-Germany youth orchestra. On Concert tours he has played in France, Denmark, Italy, Luxembourg, South Africa and the USA. In 2009 he travelled to the classic festival in Mexico – City with Salaputia Brass.
